Thanks to Dr. Emily, I can jump rope without peeing my pants and no longer have knee pain with squatting and lunging! And ladies, peeing while jumping or laughing is NOT normal no matter your age or how many kids you’ve had, so schedule that consult!

The Resilience Difference
The traditional medical model has failed Moms. Resilience RX is different.
- We look at the whole system: pelvic floor, core, hips, back, breathing mechanics. This allows us to fully identify what’s driving your symptoms.
- You will work with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in pelvic floor and has helped hundreds of women in Lake Country get real, lasting results.
- We don’t tell you to just deal with it or hand you a generic exercise sheet. We build a personalized plan around your body, your goals, and your life.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this actually fix my symptoms or just manage them?
The vast majority of women we’ve worked with who have done at least 75% of the assigned exercises (~10 minutes/day), have experienced significant symptom improvement or full resolution.
The oldest individual we’ve successfully worked with is in her 90s, and the youngest was 20.
Pelvic floor symptoms – despite what you may have been told – respond very well to treatment. Much can be done to improve your quality of life.
We’re so confident in our ability to get you results that we have a satisfaction guarantee. If you –
- Complete 75% of your assigned exercises.
- Attend at least one appointment every two weeks for the duration we recommend.
– and you don’t get results, we’ll refund you. It’s that simple. We’re the best at what we do, and we’d appreciate the opportunity to prove it to you.

What does a session look like?
It 100% depends on what you need. No two sessions look alike. Whenever you arrive, we check your current status, note your progress, and decide what to focus on next. Then, we get started.
If a new symptoms pops up, we can work on that as well. If a different area of your body is influencing your pain, we will address that.
Each session lasts 60 minutes and we design it around you and your goals.
What if I had pelvic floor physical therapy before and it didn't work?
We regularly work with women who have tried pelvic floor physical therapy elsewhere and not gotten results.
Here are some reasons why –
1) Not all physical therapists are the same. We see a lot of individuals who have already had physical therapy and thought it “didn’t work.”
2) Treatment focused on the wrong area of the body (not the root cause).
3) You didn’t get the right mix of hands-on care and exercise. Hands-on care includes massage, dry needling, cupping, joint manipulation, and more. Most people need both types. The amount needed varies for each person.
4) The dosage was incorrect. You should feel muscle fatigue with strengthening exercises. If you don’t, you’re not strengthening anything.
5) Treatment did not address the specific activities you wanted to get back to. If you’re an active individual, a cookie-cutter approach will not work.
Do you take my insurance?
Great question! Because we have chosen to prioritize you, we do not directly bill insurance. This is in your best interest for three reasons –
1) Insurance will not reimburse us for maximizing your fitness. They will only reimburse you for decreasing your pain to a “reasonable” level. This doesn’t fix your problem for good.
2) There is a significant amount of research for our treatments. But insurance doesn’t care about what actually works. They pay for what they deem appropriate, which isn’t treatment that actually works.
3) Your care should be determined by you and a medical professional who has direct contact with you. Someone without medical training who doesn’t know you shouldn’t make your health choices.
You can use your out-of-network insurance benefits. If you are unsure what those are, we can check for you.
How it works: You pay us, and we’ll give you a medical receipt (superbill). You upload that to your insurance portal, and then your insurance will mail you a check.
You can use your HSA, FSA, or HRA.
What payment options are available?
We offer 10% savings if you pay in full on the day of your evaluation. You can also use a payment plan.
We are flexible. If you want to work with us, we’ll find a payment plan that works for you. We care about you getting better and want to make the process as headache-free as possible.
How long does treatment usually take?
This varies considerably depending on what symptoms you’re experiencing.
If your symptoms are driven by tightness, visits occur 1x/week for about a month. Then, we progress to every other week.
If your symptoms are caused by weakness, we use fewer visits with more time in between. This is because your body needs time to develop strength.
The goal is to time visits so that we are always making progress in the clinic. Our expectation is that you do exercises at home, so when you’re here, we’re doing hands-on work and determining the best path forward.
